The new methodology developed by Opencontour streamlines mine planning by simplifying the geometry integration process using contour lines. This allows for easier visualization of the mine design on a 2D map and the ability to share the completed plan in 3D. Opencontour also has full block model functionality, which means that the result cut shapes create a block model subset to be mined. This subset keeps the same original block model resolution. This allows for accurate metal accounting and scheduling for each mined block. Overall, this method improves the efficiency and effectiveness of mine planning and design.
