On the heap leach pad, performance can be evaluated based on a combination of ore grades, recovery potential, metal domains, and geology attributes. By identifying high- or low-performing HLP zones, leach variables can be modified to improve metal recovery.

We developed new Solutions that aim to simplify the design, maintenance, and forecasted process of Heap Leach Stacking, recovery, and solution modeling. The software allows users to run extensive what-if scenarios during the Heap Leach Recovery Model stage.


Track Ore Placement

Mine operators can easily create historical and forecasted stacking plans with the capability to register detailed metallurgical records for ore placement.  Track lithology, grade placed, ore properties, and kinetics from the pit to the heap leach pad and track leaching on/off by the pad area.

Solution Cell Functionality

Add Solution Layers to your Stacking Plan. Polygon shapes can be built on any elevation around discretized lift shapes. Properties can then be assigned to identify different cycles, drainage zone or infrastructures. These properties can be used in our Heap Leach Recovery Model Software Solution.

Design leach solution piping headers to show leaching areas through time. Design access roads and conveyor access.

Inventory Management

Capture inventory of un-leached ounces on the pad (haul roads and side-slopes) to more accurately project production.

  • What input/output data formats does Opencontour support?
    Opencontour supports DXF, CSV, and .json files.
  • How secure is my data on the Opencontour platform?
    Our SaaS Software was designed so that all data is stored locally on your browser software (Chrome, etc..). This means that only you own and control the data without security risk. Our servers do not store any of your data.
